Tiptoes Waterside Nursery in Hessle is a purpose-built, large detached building and is split over two levels. Inside it has an attractive, spacious, open plan feel. Outside it has two large play areas, one grassed and the other with a hard surface play area. These areas have been fenced securely and appropriately to make it a safe and secure environment for the children.
Our babies, pre-toddlers, and toddlers are all housed on the 1st floor, each in their own area. Our pre-schoolers are on the ground floor, with direct access to the outside area. We have plenty of off-street parking, so dropping off and picking up is easy and much safer.
Waterside is located on Livingstone Road in Hessle, near Priory Park, so it’s great for anyone travelling along the A63 to and from Hull.
The security and safety of your children is paramount. To gain access to Tiptoes each parent is given a key fob (proximity fob) and a personal four-digit pin number. Our internal systems monitor and log every single time the front door is opened, from inside and outside. With additional security features, such as an alarm if the door if kept open longer than is deemed necessary. Security cameras monitor all the main outside areas. Access to all children’s areas are via additional safety gates.

Hi everyone,
My name is Sophie and I am the deputy manager at our Hessle site.
I was delighted to return to Tiptoes in May 2021 having previously worked for Tiptoes in 2019/2020. I have worked with children for 24 years and have lot of varied experience along the years, including 1:1 learning support, nursery nursing and previous managerial roles. I have supported children between the ages of 0-11 years, providing stimulating, enjoyable and educational environments and working closely with their families alike too.
Every child is unique and being able to guide them towards progression in all stages of development is the most rewarding part of my role. I love to see that little twinkle in their eye when they have understood something new and demonstrating the pride they have for themselves.
I have two children of my own. My son Jacob is 20 years old and my daughter Daisy is 16. I am married to my husband Matthew and we all live in a nearby village. In my spare time i enjoy walking my dog Lucy in the local woods and meeting up with friends for meals and the occasional trip to the cinema too.

I’ve been in childcare settings since 2013 and started my journey with Tiptoes in 2021.
I hold a level 3 in children’s learning and education.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my partner and his children and Iove to also curl up with a good book on the sofa!

OPENING TIMES: Tiptoes Waterside is open 07:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays and the days between Christmas and the New Year)
SESSION TIMES: Morning sessions run from 07:30 – 12:30 and include lunch. Afternoon sessions are 13:00 – 18:00 and include afternoon tea. We have very limited availability of half day sessions..
