It all starts with our people
Tiptoes Nursery and Pre-Schools employ over 22 gradates, 38% of staff, with a further 6 more studying towards a degree qualification in early years (well above national standards). That’s up to between 2-5 graduates per Tiptoes nursery. As the staff educate themselves and understand the importance of it, they know how important it is to you and your child as well. We are delighted and proud that all our staff can lead, educate and interact at the highest level with all Tiptoes children.
A New report out 10th December 2020 by the Education Policy Institute and the Nuffield Foundation confirms settings which employ a graduate are linked with improved outcomes for children which last up to the end of primary school, you can read that report in our blog area.
Here at Tiptoes we genuinely want our nurseries to be the best and we want nursery experiences to be memorable and fun. We realise that it is vital that we earn the trust and confidence of you, our parents and that you are happy with what we do and how we do it. Together we can produce happy and confident children who enjoy living in a culture that nurtures and values the importance of a happy childhood and gives children the opportunity to maximise their full potential and become well-rounded citizens of the world.
Laura, Tiptoes Nursery Director
15 Years with Tiptoes
My name is Laura and I started with Tiptoes on day one, in August 2009. Since starting as a deputy manager at our Waterside site I soon became manager in 2010 and then moved to manage our Willerby nursery and pre-school in December 2015. I have my foundation degree in childhood studies and during my time as an active practitioner I had the most experience working with pre-school children though worked extensively across all Tiptoes age groups of 6 weeks to 5 years.
In 2022 I am proud to become the first operational director of Tiptoes across all its sites. We have a very strong management team and between us cover all disciplines with senior managers and managers having worked with Tiptoes for many many years. During my time at Tiptoes I have had experience in over 20 OFSTED inspections with achievements of GOOD, GOOD with outstanding features and OUTSTANDING practices.
The most rewarding part of my job is watching our Tiptoes children blossom with confidence, whilst growing and learning.
Vanessa, Tiptoes Nursery Director
9 Years with Tiptoes
I started at Tiptoes in August 2016 and became the manager in December 2018. During my time as an active practitioner I have had the most experience working with babies and toddlers. I have my level 6 in Childhood Studies, myself and my team got an OUTSTANDING OFSTED Report in April 2019 which is one of the biggest achievements in my career so far.
I am pleased to be the second promoted Nursery Director at Tiptoes.
The most rewarding part of my job is being able to help children grow and achieve to their full potential daily and being able to provide the best play and learning experiences. As a manager I believe the most important aspects is working alongside parents in order to ensure home life and nursery life is compatible, and having good team ethics between myself and the staff in order to ensure the best experience is being delivered for each child within our care.
